These monopolies then charge higher prices for consumers, deny them a true choice at the supermarket, and often add unhealthy additives to food. It's time to break up Big Ag, restore prosperity to family farming, and protect consumers.
The Texas Hill Country launched the populist movement with the Farmers Alliance & Industrial Union in the late 1800s. This movement became the People's Party and eventually merged with the New Deal.
